Okay I admit it, I’ve slacked with posting but I’m back on my game! This past weekend the family and I ventured to The Old Lucketts Store in Leesburg, VA. Every year they put on the Lucketts Spring Market, which is a (now) 3 day outdoor market selling antiques and vintage items. The store itself is open 7 days a week and has tons of items both in the store and on the grounds. The Spring Market takes this to a whole new level though! The Market had over 170 vendors, including food vendors with delicious smelling food.
I am a huge fan of vintage things, which is why I love Lucketts so much. This time around we were on the lookout for some stuff for Natasha and Steve’s new house. More specifically, we were looking for old doors to add to different entrances within the house. We did find one door (which I definitely forgot to photograph) and we will write a later post showing exactly what is done with that door. Anywho, on to the Spring Market…
There were TONS of people showing up to the market so they had people directing cars to a specific parking area. Once you start making your way from the parking area, you hit this adorable booth where you pay the entrance fee of $10 and get a little wrist band. The vendor set-ups began as soon as you walked past the booth. I immediately fell in love with the first vendor who I believe was named Class and Trash. This vendor had a bunch of metal signs with different words, including the one pictured below (adorable, right?!). I’m pretty much determined to find this place again to get the “Gypsy” sign I didn’t buy this time around.
Next, we hit a couple more vendors with various vintage items with ranging prices depending on the vendor and the item.
It didn’t take very long for us to find great stuff. Natasha ended up finding 2 dining room chairs to put at the ends of her dining table. These chairs have tall backs and the arms she was looking for to change up the dining room. We are planning to distress the paint a little bit and while the fabric on the seats are actually pretty, they don’t match so those will be changed too. Even though all the chairs, including the chairs without arms, were being sold together, the vendor gave Natasha the 2 end chairs at $75 for the pair. Can we say great deal?!
There was a random chicken coop with cute little chickens walking around and this pretty cool trailer next to it.
On the Lucketts property they also have what they call the Design House that gets changed up each month and is usually only open on certain days each month. Every time I have been to the House, it’s gorgeous. We took a few pictures of the inside just to give you an idea of what some of the rooms look like. I gave Dad the job of being photographer which is why we show up in one of these!
Going through the rest of the market, we found some great gems and ended up walking around for a few hours since there was so much to see! Again, we forgot to take pictures of the rest of the things Natasha and Steve bought but the pictures below are just a few of the creative/cool things they were selling.
I really wanted this bedspring wine holder!
Truthfully, this post doesn’t even begin to show you everything they had. But if you’re into vintage or antiques, I definitely recommend checking out The Old Lucketts Store. Even though the Spring Market is over, they have different flea events each month that you can check out here. Hope you enjoyed this post and that you head over to Lucketts the next time you’re in the Northern Virginia area!
